Training Last's A Lifetime

The Rottweiler stands out like no other dog because of his size, loyalty, agility and courage.  Perhaps there are some people who chose this breed just for this reason, but if I may say so, it is the wrong reasons.  The Rottweiler should be chosen if you are capable of spending quality time on training and exercise, participate in obedience training at your local dog club, provide sufficient nourishment and socialize the puppy at a young age.  You do this by exposing them to children, other environments and people. Ponder this; in today’s time, you have teenagers that do not spend quality time bonding with their parents.  What will they do?  They will go looking for something or someone to bond with (i.e. gangs, drug dealers and get in trouble at school). The same holds true for the Rottweiler. They was bred to work, so give them a job to do.  If they do not have a job, they will get bored and tend to look for something to do; like dig holes in your flower beds, become independent, aggressive, relieve themselves in unwanted areas of your house and get in trouble. To prevent these types of negative behaviors owners must provide their dogs with the appropriate training in obedience. You can contact your local dog club or contact GC and enroll in the next class.  This will gain you the dog’s loyalty, companionship and protection.  Also by doing this, the dog is stimulated with different environments, will socialize with other dogs and other people, plus it gives them a job to perform.  They will appreciate the opportunity to use their strength, agility and natural instincts, to work for you.
